I am playing catch up with my blog - there has been a lot happening. Last week I met with the team that are responsible for the accreditation of early childhood services in Alberta - about 1600 services. The role of accreditation is a combination of the role of the Ministry of Education for licensing and ERO for quality assurance. So lucky to get time with these amazing people who are very busy and make time for me.

Their missions statement:
‘To promote and recognize standards of excellence in Early Learning and Care Services through research, education and evaluation.'
These are the standards for accreditation - as I understand it - every early childhood centre has a goal related to each standard...QEP - Quality Enhancement Plan
